What Do We Mean By "Interweaving the Strands"?
By “strands,” we imagine the curriculum strands of speaking, reading, writing and media study; or the strands of conversation, observation and product that flourish in our classrooms; or the strands of thinking, feeling, action, and reflection. Indeed, there are other possible interpretations, and we welcome them. By “interweaving,” we imagine something intertextual, something hands-on, something vital being woven into eclectic fabric in a teaching and learning situation. |
